About Us
CCRAN is a recently incorporated not for profit national colorectal cancer patient advocacy organization dedicated to improving colorectal cancer patient outcomes through a ‘SEA” of services: SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY.
CCRAN was founded in August 2006 as a single information/support group housed out of Wellspring in Oakville. It has been the largest and longest running support group of its kind in Canada, servicing thousands of patients and caregivers over 14 years through its unique support group model: the monthly delivery and presentation of colorectal cancer treatment and clinical research updates and a review of each patient’s case, optimizing patient care through peer-to-peer support.
Supporting, educating, and advocating on behalf of patients is a pivotal part of what we do at CCRAN. Patient support resources are furnished through the provision of:
-
colorectal cancer support and information groups
-
monthly clinical research updates
-
colorectal cancer expert presentations
-
peer to peer tele-support and email
