Fistula output by nature is incredibly caustic and has the ability to cause severe damage to the skin, and therefore pain to the patient in a very short space of time. This session looks at the key considerations to effectively manage the complexities of enterocutaneous fistulae with a focus on building a deeper understanding regarding the potential risks to skin, how to identify them and how best to protect the integrity of the skin whilst caring for a patient with a fistula.
