Samantha Holloway RN, MSc, FHEA
Samantha’s role encompasses both undergraduate and postgraduate activities within the School of Medicine. Working as a Reader/Program Director she is responsible for delivering the Masters in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair program which continues to be held in high regard both nationally and internationally. She also provides guidance on wound healing for the medical undergraduate program. Currently, she is the External Examiner for the University of Huddersfield in the UK.
She is the President-Elect of the International Skin Tear Advisory Panel (ISTAP) of which she has been a member since 2011, and chairs the Global Community Engagement Workstream. She is also the Chair of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) education committee. Samantha currently holds the position of the Chair of the EWMA Teacher Network, and is working on a number of projects which examine the provision of wound management curricula across Europe.
Samantha is the Academic Editor for the Wounds UK journal and sits on the Editorial Board for the Chronic Wound Care supplement of the British Journal of Community Nursing. She also is a peer reviewer of manuscripts for the same journal as well as the Journal of Tissue Viability, British Journal of Nursing, Journal of Wound Care and the International Wound Care Journal. She has published/co-authored over 40 publications and has supervised 42 successful graduates of the MSc in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair program.
